Tour of Austria debut – and we made our mark.
Making our Tour of Austria debut was already a milestone for our young UCI Continental Team, Schwingshandl Intralogistics. Racing against some of the world’s strongest professional cyclists, our riders showed that courage, teamwork and determination can compete with the very best.
Across five demanding stages covering 845 kilometres and more than 11,000 metres of climbing, our team repeatedly made its mark on the race:
- Several successful breakaway appearances
- Filip Lepka claimed two intermediate sprint classifications on the final stage to Vienna
- Fabian Steininger sprinted to an outstanding 8th place in front of thousands of spectators in Vienna
As the youngest Continental Team in the race, we proved that we belong on Austria’s biggest cycling stage reace.
The incredible support along the route made this week even more special. At the Schwingsi Fan Zone on the Porscheberg in Steyr, hundreds of supporters created an atmosphere worthy of the Tour de France. Thank you to everyone who cheered us on.
„We may not have the biggest budget in Austrian cycling. But we have something money can’t buy: unity, trust and 100% passion for this sport. That’s what defines our team.“
– Raphael Hammerschmid, Head of Racing
A huge thank you to our riders, staff, partners, sponsors and fans for making this Tour one to remember. We are proud of what we achieved together – and this is only the beginning.
