High-performance depalletising and palletising system for empties

Initial situation & task

Schwingshandl implemented a high-performance system for depalletising and palletising empties for the beverage industry.
Empties management places the highest demands on performance, robustness and availability. Empty crates are often delivered dirty, wet or not sorted by type.

Realisation

Robust depalletisers were implemented in the incoming goods area, which separate crate towers via baffles and feed them to destacking machines.
To increase performance, four empty crates are stacked at a time and separated via speed jumps.
Palletising also takes place in groups of four via double stacking lines with subsequent merging and palletising.

Scope of delivery

  • Depalletiser
  • 4-fold destacking machines
  • Conveyor technology incl. inclined roller conveyor
  • 4-fold stacking machines
  • Palletiser
  • Electrical installation and control

Added value

  • Very high output of up to 4,200 empty crates per hour
  • Robust design for demanding environments
  • High availability in multi-shift operation
