BORA Project

Successful project completion for BORA’s new vertical factory.

Last week marked the operational handover of the facility, symbolized by the ceremonial key handover from our Project Manager Martina Kepplinger-Novakovic to Roland Schmid, Technical Systems and Equipment Manager at BORA.

BORA’s new vertical factory is based on an innovative production concept that reduces the required footprint by around 60% while bringing product development and manufacturing even closer together. Schwingshandl was proud to realize this forward-looking intralogistics solution in cooperation with our controls Partner SITLog.

Schwingshandl was responsible for the delivery, installation, and commissioning of the material handling system, including controls and CE certification. A key element of the solution is the lift system with infeed and outfeed conveyor technology serving all levels of the vertical factory.

We were particularly pleased to receive the following feedback from Roland Schmid, Technical Systems and Equipment Manager at BORA:
“The collaboration was characterized by mutual respect and appreciation. Installation and commissioning were carried out efficiently and safely, and any questions were answered promptly and professionally. Thank you for the excellent cooperation.”

A sincere thank you to BORA and SITLog for their trust and the outstanding collaboration.
