Initial situation & task
Schwingshandl realised the integration of a tray unloading system with subsequent tray stacking into an existing intralogistics system for a food retailer. The aim was to handle IFCO crates reliably despite their limited storage capacity.
The crates were to be transported in trays, unloaded automatically and the empty trays then stacked. At the same time, the solution had to be seamlessly integrated into the existing system and reliable, continuous operation had to be ensured.
Realisation
Schwingshandl integrated a tray unloading system with downstream tray stacking into the existing system. Electromechanical stacking and destacking modules with a pneumatic clamping device were used to ensure safe and reproducible handling of the IFCO crates.
