Depalletising cartons from trays with subsequent stacking

Initial situation & task

In retail, cartons (cases) are often stored on trays in the automated picking area. For shipping, these cartons have to be removed from the trays, stacked in layers and then palletised. The aim was to create an efficient, reliable solution for a sensitive and difficult-to-handle product.

Realisation

Schwingshandl realized a combination machine that removes cartons from the trays either individually or in pairs. The removed cartons are fed to a stacking machine, which builds up the layers from top to bottom.
The carton stacks are then automatically palletized. The system is specially designed for the difficult goods to be conveyed and ensures a gentle and reliable process.
